Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BASIL VARGHESE ("we") handles your information when you use Get Set Shortlist (https://getsetshortlist.com). The short version: we collect only what the product needs, your payment credentials never touch our servers, and you can delete your data at any time.

1. What we collect

• Account data: name, email, and a hashed password (we can never read your password). If you use Google Sign-In, Google shares your name and verified email with us.
• Resume content: the work history, education, skills, and optional photo you enter or upload — this is the product's core data and stays in your account.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Cashfree. We receive only the order ID, payment ID, amount, and status — never your card, UPI, or banking details.
• Usage data: AI actions and token counts (for credit accounting), and the IP address of free-trial requests (abuse prevention). Standard server logs apply.
• Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie for your language choice. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How AI processing works

When you use an AI feature, the relevant resume text is sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate the draft, and the result is returned to your account. We do not use your resume content to train AI models, and we don't send more than the feature needs.

3. How we use information

To provide and improve the Service, deliver purchased credits, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and send essential service emails (such as password resets). We do not sell personal data, and we don't send marketing email without your consent.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to run the Service — Cashfree (payments), Anthropic (AI generation), Google (only if you choose Google Sign-In), and our hosting provider — and where the law requires disclosure.

5. Retention and deletion

• You can delete any resume yourself, immediately and permanently, from your dashboard.
• To delete your whole account, email support@getsetshortlist.com from your registered address — completed within 7 days. Payment records are retained as required by Indian tax law.
• Free-trial drafts that are never claimed expire with the browser session.

6. Security

Passwords are stored with strong one-way hashing, all traffic runs over HTTPS, uploads are sanitised and re-encoded, and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow current good practice and keep software updated.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export (your resume is downloadable), or delete your data, and withdraw consent for optional processing, by using the in-app tools or contacting us. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.
